GET YOUR SALVAGED VEHICLE BACK ON THE ROAD

If you need to salvage a vehicle that has been in an accident or was damaged as a result of auto theft, chances are the vehicle will need a California

State Certified “Brake and Lamp Inspection”. Main Street Shell Service is quickly becoming the popular choice for brake and lamp inspection in Santa Maria as our state certified technician Patrick Ruddy consistently performs fast, efficient, and thorough inspections. A brake and light inspection may be required by either the DMV or the California Highway Patrol to certify that a salvaged or recovered vehicle is safe to be back on the road.

During the brake inspection, the wheels will be removed and the brake system will be inspected for safety, correct alignment, and to ensure all components are free of damage and working properly by the manufacturers specifications. A complete checkout of the vehicle’s exterior lighting system will also be performed during the light inspection. Special precision measuring equipment will be used to verify that headlight beams are bright enough and aimed at the correct trajectory. Tail lights, turn signals, and any electrical wiring associated with exterior lighting will also be inspected. If no repairs are needed and the technician verifies that the vehicle is safe to be back on the road, a brake certificate and a lamp certificate will be issued. If you have a salvaged vehicle that needs to be certified, give us a call today to schedule an appointment.
